Are You a Monkey or an Innovator?
I’m not here to babysit your beliefs.
This piece isn’t pretty. It’s not packaged in soft language or sugar.
It’s a mirror. And mirrors can’t lie.
Limits
We all have them. We all relate.
But let’s ask the real question, how real are they? How useful?
There are over 8 billion people alive right now. Let that sink in.
You haven’t even seen a million faces in your lifetime. Even if you have, multiply that by 100. Then multiply that by 10. Then again by 8. That’s how many people are out there, living full lives.
Breathing. Eating. Struggling. Winning.
Doing things that seem impossible until they’re not.
And yet we sit here and talk about who’s smarter, who has the highest IQ, who’s “gifted.”
But here’s the truth. We are an intelligent species. Intelligence isn’t rare. It’s the default.
The real difference between people isn’t brains. It’s beliefs.

Let me break it down:
Two 10th graders. Same baseline intelligence.
One takes an IQ test and finds out he’s a “90.”
The other is simply told, “You’re smart. You’re capable.”
Guess who grows more by the end of the year?
The one who didn’t get labeled.
The one who wasn’t handed a ceiling.
Because the second you believe your limit is real, you start living inside it.
The Real Cage
We’re all born in cages.
Not physical ones, but psychological.
As kids, we’re told what to do, where to go, how to think, how to behave.
We’re trained to wait for permission.
So when we finally get freedom, most of us freeze.
We stay inside the old mental bars, even when the door’s wide open.
Why?
Because the unknown is scary.
Fear of the unknown is an evolutionary trait. It kept our ancestors alive.
But here’s what most people forget. If we couldn’t break evolutionary traits, we’d never evolve.
That fear might be hardwired. But every hardwire can be cut with the right blade.
And that blade is awareness.

Nothing Is That Deep, But That’s the Power
Here’s the truth that most can’t stomach:
We’re not that special.
No one is.
You’re not doomed. You’re not chosen.
You’re not destined to win or lose.
You’re just a human with a nervous system like everyone else.
What shapes your life isn’t magic.
It’s beliefs. It’s actions. It’s the imaginary weight you choose to carry.
If you keep telling yourself “I can’t do that” or “That’s not who I am” or “I’m not smart enough”
you’ve built your own cage.
And you’ll sit in it until you realize it’s made of air.

Are You Still in the Cage?
Keep a monkey in a cage for 18 years.
Take the cage off.
The monkey will still move like the bars are there.
Now ask yourself
Are you that monkey?
Still operating inside a structure that no longer exists?
Or are you an innovator?
Someone who sees the illusion, cuts the wire, and walks forward anyway?
Because the bars aren’t real.
Only your belief in them is.
